Wooohoooo

I am so dead XD

I did TRX workout today, but I am still sick. Coughing, barely breathing, tired. BUT I worked out :) First time doing TRX and super sore. I didnt eat much past couple days, and then last night I had two spicy sausages and lots of melon. OMG they were so good. The first things that I could taste in a couple days haha :p

I realized drinking water really does keep you full, I drank probably around 100oz yesterday, and never once really had the desire to eat…until I tasted those sausages xD

Being sick sucks. I am not fully sick with a summer cold. But I wish I just would be. No energy, can’t breathe, and minor body aches. One plus is that whenever I am sick I don’t feel like eating. But I’ve had some clear fish soup and a smoothie from fresh squeeze. Hopefully I feel better soon to try and workout next week xD

Breakfast:

1/3c oatmeal

1 ripe banana

2tbsp ground flax

1/4c walnut

484 cal, 12g protein

Realizing it’s almost my birthday, half the year as already passed. I have less than two months before I leave and I want to be able to say my clothes are loose, even if I haven’t lost the 25 pounds I was supposed to. I want to be able to run without giving up. It’s about a pound a week and I think I can do it. I got a great night’s rest yesterday and I feel like I’ve caught up on all the sleep I’ve lost since working at Sonoda’s xD

Well, I’ll take it a day at a time and watch what I eat carefully, or at least be more conscious than before.

I’m hoping to log here inspiration, record of my workout and what I eat. Hopefully putting it here regularly will help.

backonpointe:

In the same vein (but healthier!) as diet plans that mix up your caloric goals, here’s a 7-day plan that gets harder as it goes along. Start on Day One, follow the plan for a week, then repeat. Yes, it’ll seem ridiculously easy going from Day Seven back to Day One, but this will keep your body challenged and will give you a bit of a break every time you restart. Feel free to make this an eight-day plan and add in a rest day on Day Eight.

Wow, how hard this journey is. It’s been a while. A while since eating properly, a while since really working out,  a while since even talking about this journey. I feel like a failure cuz my eating habits are destroying ALL the effort I put in to work out. But I want to still try. Eating correctly, smaller portions, no meaningless snacking. but for now, just trying to eat smaller portions without the snacking will be my goal.

Good luck to you to :)

Life Sucks….

I haven’t worked out in a super long time… and I haven’t eaten properly either… just really well (eating lots :P )

Just got a new job…now I have to figure out when to workout with work… Man life x)

But obviously it’s possible since people do it xD

So today was the last day of training, and we focused on functional weight training - non-static lifting. I’m sore, it was hard. All my stabilizer muscles are WEAK! Still I love this feeling of having worked out. I hope it continues and keeps my motivation rolling.

After working out though I ate breakfast - Oatmeal, banana, almond&walnut chopped pieces, and semi-sweet choco chips with some honey powder.

WOW. GROSS!!!! I like oatmeal, and don’t mind it at all, but the choco chips… man I have a stomach ache and it was pretty bad. So note to self. NEVER COMBINE CHOCO CHIP AND OATMEAL (unless in a cookie :D )

I never really was a salad person, I didn’t mind them - didn’t hate them, didn’t like them. Today I had a salad consisting of: spinach, carrot, celery, bean sprout, lettuce, garbanzo bean, feta cheese. And for the first time I had balsamic vinaigrette.  I don’t know if it was the dressing or what…BUT it was amazing. I had a huge bowl of it. Satisfied without meat. I’m looking forward to eating this AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE :)

WOW I feel SO WEAK! I had so much trouble curling a 30lb bar -___-;; and I expect myself to someday beat people in arm wrestling and do a pull up when I can’t do that. WAHHHH~~~ Other than that, today we did free weights and cables - mostly focusing on my upper body - and then lunges for my lower half. I only have one more training session left, and it’s on Thurs. with focus on functional weight lifting (so things like TRX - which I’m super excited for). I’m now at the dilemma if I should continue training. As a poor college graduate, I don’t sufficient income to train like I would with him, but I might be able to skip out on going out to train at least once a week for 10 weeks. Still debating. Other than that, he didn’t give me a nutrition guide so I’m just going with my instinct, of eating as much natural and whole things as possible. :)

Tomorrow’s the second day of training :) I’m so excited, I get a workout schedule and meal plan designed for my goals!! [-25lbs, 1 pull-up, 1 mile under 10 min]
I’m looking forward to it. I think I realized I need to do more than just what I’ve been doing to lose my weight. He [my trainer] was telling me I could lose the 25 in possibly 12 weeks. That’s THREE MONTHS! By the end of June! It’s so exciting, I know it’s not guaranteed, but the thought of it is exciting. And to finish the night I’m working out with my bro later tonight xD. I want to work on cardio for the time that we’re there.

Fighting~ :)

First time using a personal trainer, and it’s the first in a series of three. WOW… I never really used weight lift machines before, man it’s hard if you do it right :) but a good hard lol

For the first time ever, I did leg press and I can rep 90lbs hehehe. I feel accomplished.

After tutoring tonight, I think I’m going to repeat the set all over and maybe try to run 1 mile without stopping.

From my last post, I really didn’t work out xD lol. But as of yesterday it was over 2 weeks since I worked out. And IF you don’t work out and eat poorly, you see changes in your body (for the worse) pretty quickly. I have a scale that I bought for my weight loss journey, this scale has three measurements: weight, %fat, BMI. I know there are controversies with each of these three measurements. But it’s a way to measure my progress - at least the first two are. Before the “break”, I was slowly losing body fat, and I could feel it in my muscles too; I was around 37.5% body fat and 143lbs. As of this morning I was 38.4% and 145lbs. Two things I realized, I need to get back to work and commit to it. I am the person where I have to get out of the house to work out. So I decided today to get a membership at the local Super Sport 24 hour fitness center. Not saying that a gym is necessary for everyone, but I think this is what I needed. Along with the membership I received 3 personal training sessions. So HOPEFULLY I’ll be getting on the right track since everything so far has FAILED. Maybe this will jumpstart my restart on my journey and help me achieve my goals. :)

So hard….

I “gave up” for a little while. It’s so hard to stay motivated to continue to go to the gym and continue to eat well. Once there’s a break from the lifestyle, no matter how short or long, it’s hard to get back into the routine of it. From my last post I’ve taken a break, I failed a little bit. But~ that’s not going to stop me. My goal of a healthy life is not something that can be accomplished in couple weeks or months, but is a lifetime goal. So a few days in the years that I have left, are nothing so I have no reason to beat myself up for it. Since it’s the first day “back” I took it easy and spun (HIIT - WOW it’s hard) and eating now. I just ate a bowl of chicken congee (닭죽) and about to eat an avocado with a soy sauce dip. Hope you are doing well in your journey :)
